Sankar Venkatraman, a senior IT professional with a rich experience in managing large businesses and growing revenue in the areas of Cloud, Enterprise Applications like SAP, Oracle & ServiceNow, IoT, Cybersecurity and AI/ML.

As Senior Vice President at Detasad, Sankar has been responsible for managing the entire Cloud and Digital business which includes:

• managing Data Centers at Riyadh and Jeddah

• setting up and delivering specialized private cloud stack tailored for specific industries like Finance, Entertainment & Manufacturing

• designing cloud platform for hosting Enterprise applications in the kingdom (PaaS)

• commissioning and launching an IoT platform with emphasis on edge computing for addressing remote location device access

• providing cyber security as a service in Saudi Arabia

• heading Enterprise IT for the company.

 

His understanding of both Enterprise Applications and Cloud Infrastructure has positioned him uniquely in providing digital transformation solution to customers across the globe. His strength has been transforming IT by providing out of the box solutions. Also, he has very rich experience in managing large and diverse teams spread globally.

Prior to Detasad, Sankar led several leadership roles at Wipro Technologies including heading Oracle and ServiceNow businesses (> $500Mn), managing P&L for large accounts like Royal Philips & Shell (>$100Mn), heading digital transformation for European manufacturing customers. He had made significant impact both on the pipeline generation and profitability.

In former roles as EAS practice head, Sankar was instrumental in setting up ERP businesses (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, ServicNow..) for large organizations like Wipro, HCL technologies and Mphasis. He not only grew the revenue multifold, but also created a niche in market by launching innovative solutions like zero cost migration, workflow based Field Service Management, Process mining for enterprise etc.

Sankar has on several awards including the best sales manager and the sales grandmaster at Wipro. He has also won awards for his entrepreneurial endeavor by a leading publication company.

 

Sankar is a Sloan Fellow from London Business School and earned his Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Strategy Management. He also has a Bachelor of engineering Degree from PSG College of Technology in Electrical and Electronics. Besides, Sankar has several certifications in subjects like project Management, SAP, Cloud Infrastructure, AI/ML and IoT.
